How to Become a Confident Hitter

Jun 8, 2017 4:07:12 PM / by Kevin Brown

The first step to being an elite hitter is understanding how to become a confident hitter.

Yogi Berra once said, "Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical." Yogi's emphasis on the mental side of the game is especially important to being a consistent hitter.

Our thoughts have a significant impact on our confidence and our swing. When we trust the work we've done in the cage we can gain more confidence and start thinking like an elite hitter.

Confidence allows us to visualize success prior to stepping into the batter's box. These positive thoughts allow us to swing with conviction. Conviction breeds accelerated swings and keeps us out of the unsure decelerated swings that often lead to weak outs.
